Peter grew up in Preston, Lancashire and thought he would live up north all his life where his first part time job was in a chippy. However, in his early twenties, he slipped down to the Midlands, firstly to study microbiology at Warwick University and then to work for a church in inner-city Coventry for three years. After a year’s theological training he ended up in Suffolk as the minister of Mendlesham Green Baptist Church.
Moving down south did have its advantages, as it was here that he met his wife Sheri. Sheri is Ipswich born and bred, and they are very happy to be living and working in this area. Their daughter Chloe was born in March 2012, and Thomas followed in October 2013. Most recently Joseph arrived in October 2015.
As well as being a minister of the church, Peter also works part-time supporting adults with learning disabilities. He loves music and books and finds himself interested in nearly any subject.
Peter’s passion is to see people grow in their grasp of what God has said in the Bible so that their lives are changed as they grow in faith and in their relationship with God.
